The Gran Ventana Beach Resort is a sleek, spacious, all-inclusive resort with an enviable location on the golden sands of Playa Dorada in Puerto Plata. The hotel is situated within the Playa Dorada complex, the largest and most complete tourist development in the Dominican Republic and just a block away from the Playa Dorada Commercial Center, boasting some of the best bars and discos in the Puerto Plata area. The VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort is the ultimate all-inclusive vacation destination for honeymooners, families, golfers and anyone seeking fun and relaxation. The resort is composed of a series of three-story buildings, softened with landscaping, that are each trimmed with latticework and Victorian-inspired fretwork; each unit has mahogany furniture, ceiling fans, a balcony or patio, and, in many cases, views of the sea. The gardens and lawns surrounding the site are dotted with gazebos, flowering shrubs, and tropical plants and palms. Guests have access to one children's pool, one adult pool with a swim-up bar and an additional pool located in resort's "quiet" wing. Chaise lounges and towel service are complimentary for the pool and beach. Daytime activities and evening entertainment are on offer for all ages. Guests enjoy complimentary use of a full-service fitness center and sauna. Spa treatments/services are available at the Bagua Spa at sister hotel Casa Colonial Beach Resort (fees apply). Internet service is available for an additional charge.
The resort is spread across 247 acres of ocean-fronting land that's divided into three distinctly defined "villages", the quietest and calmest of which is the Beata Wing, which is just a bit removed, but easily accessible on foot to the more animated Catalina and Saona clusters.
The resort consists of 506 stylishly appointed rooms including superior guest rooms, suites, junior suites and penthouses. Each room features a spacious balcony or terrace and some offer stunning ocean views.
Kids Welcome
Parents can truly unwind knowing their kids are having as much fun as they are at Gran Ventana's Kid's Club. This supervised recreational program features many activities for children between 4 and 12 years of age including: volleyball, aerobics, coloring, Spanish lessons, fun contests of all kinds, tennis lessons, club dance lessons, beach walks, sand castle building, parties and countless crazy games that kids just can't get enough of.
The Gran Ventana Kids' Club is open daily from 8am-5pm. Babysitting services are also available for an extra fee. Baby cribs and rollaway beds are complimentary, subject to availability.
